Breach of condition notice requiring the owner to remove all vehicles, horse boxes, trailers, other vehicles and structures including dog kennels from the extended hardcore area and to submit details of the manure storage arrangements and details of the foul water drainage for approval by the council.

The matter was proved in absence on 28th February 2024. The defendant was fined for failing to comply with the notice. Further court hearing 24th September 2024 for noncompliance. The defendant pleaded guilty and was fined.

PBC criticised for 'significant weaknesses' in damning report from financial auditors


Pendle Borough Council has been heavily criticised by financial auditors in a recent inspection of the Council's bookeeping and financial management.

In the report, due to be discussed at the upcoming Accounts & Audit Committee on January 28, 2025, auditors Grant Thornton said it had found "significant weaknesses" in the Council's "governance" and "financial sustainability".
