Earby Council hits out at "unacceptable" drainage plan

Councillors at Earby Town Council have criticised new drainage plans for a development on Bailey Street, Earby.

At the Full Council meeting on Monday (Jan 27), a new drainage plan for the development of 12 houses was considered and found to be wanting in many areas, according to Councillors.

This third version of the plans was deemed "totally unacceptable," by Chairman Tennant, stating that all excedence water would flow down to Wentcliffe Drive and flood their gardens. He said developers had not made any effort to prevent this in the plans.

Another concern was a surface water pipe that eventually flows into New Cut Beck which is under control of another authority that has not been consulted on the plans.
