Pendle's MP, Jonathan Hinder, has hit out at his own party for continuing a trial into puberty blockers for confused teenagers.
In a post on X, Hinder said:
"This is where Britain is heading with its state-sanctioned blocking of children’s puberty."
An emoji points to a Daily Mail article where a confused teenage girl was convinced to have her breasts cut off to live as a boy.

Hinder's position deviates from the Labour party line which is to run the trials as recommended in the Cass report.
In an article from December 2025, the Labour Health Secretary, Wes Streeting, said he would not stop the trials despite his own concerns about them.
Conservative shadow health minister Dr Caroline Johnson said:
"The vast majority of the children in this trial are being unnecessarily experimented on with risky medications under his leadership."
